Gesubsidieerde projecten

Dit jaar organiseert SIW wederom diverse jeugduitwisselingen. Samen met leeftijdsgenoten uit Europa ga je diverse activiteiten, workshops en presentaties doen rondom een bepaald thema, zoals sport, muziek, dans, cultuurverschillen. Het enige wat je betaalt is 120 euro inschrijfgeld en daarnaast wordt je verblijf en 70% van je reiskosten worden vergoed! Het is dé manier om de cultuur van Europese leeftijdsgenoten te leren!

Wat maakt een jongerenproject zo bijzonder?

• Alle activiteiten zijn gekoppeld aan een thema, zoals sport, muziek, dans, vrijwilligerswerk, diversiteit/racisme/discriminatie.
• Een project duurt één tot twee weken.
• Je bent één van de vier Nederlandse deelnemers in een project. Of je bent de begeleider van die groep.
• In totaal doen ongeveer 16-20 deelnemers mee aan een project met vier a vijf verschillende nationaliteiten.
• Je krijgt 70% van je reiskosten vergoed (het maximum verschilt per project en locatie).
• Je krijgt daarnaast korting op je normale inschrijfgeld. Voor een jongerenproject betaal je in plaats van € 230,- (reguliere tarief) maar € 50,- voor projecten in Nederland en €120,- voor projecten buiten Nederland. Hiervoor krijg je je accommodatie, maaltijden, projectdeelname en diverse activiteiten en excursies.
• Er kan gevraagd worden van de deelnemers dat ze bepaalde activiteiten voor aanvang of na afloop rondom het thema van het project voorbereiden of verder uitwerken. Dit zal geen grote werklast met zich meebrengen;
• Je kunt als deelnemer opgeven of als begeleider van de deelnemers. Begeleider van deelnemers is een superdynamische en fantastisch mooie ervaring. Geef je hier voor op als je ervaring hebt met het begeleiden van groepen, vrijwilligersprojecten of interculturele activiteiten. Je gaat dan vooraf een voorbereidend bezoek brengen aan het project, samen met de begeleiders van alle andere landengroepen. Je krijgt de kosten voor dit voorbereidend bezoek 100% vergoed.
• Bovenstaande informatie is alleen van toepassing op de projecten die hierna volgen, de jongerenprojecten in 2010.

Voor de volgende projecten kun je je nog aanmelden als deelnemer of begeleider. Jeugdprojecten die hier niet (meer) worden genoemd zitten al vol.

Mouvance!

Dit jeugdproject zal in Frankrijk plaatsvinden in Beaucaire, tussen Nîmes, Avignon en Arles.  De deelnemers zullen deelnemen aan zomerfestivals die als thema dit jaar ‘Oude muziek en dans’ hebben.  De bedoeling is dat zij een choreografie voor deze gelegenheid maken. Activiteiten met lokale organisaties en inwoners gaan deel uit maken van het programma. Ieder groep zal een choreografie presenteren van zijn land van herkomst.

This Youth Exchanges will be at Beaucaire, situated between Nîmes, Avignon and Arles, close to the Camargue. Typical place in the south of France and marked by its bullfighting traditions, the volunteers will participate in summer festivals that have the theme this year: Ancient Music and Dance. They will prepare a choreography for this occasion. Activities with local associations and inhabitants should be part of the programme. This project is a part of the animation for « les fêtes de la Madeleine ». Each group will prepare with its sending organization a typical choreography of his country to present it during the first week of the exchange. It is important that the participants have worked on the preparation of the exchange before coming to the camp to guarantee a fruitful exchange between the groups. The common show and those of each group will be presented for the annual festival of the town, the Fête de la Madeleine. The group will consist of 20 international volunteers. 4 nationalities will be present for this exchange: French, Italian, Latvia and Dutch. 5 facilitators will be present to help the volunteers to organize the daily life. The volunteers have to take care of the household as well as the kitchen: don’t forget to bring recepies from your countries! As far as language is concerned, it depends largely on the consistence of the group which language will be spoken, but generally it is very useful to have a knowledge of French and/or English! This project being part of a youth exchange, there will be a refund of 70% of the travelling costs.

Europe by Music

Ontdek Europa via zijn muziek! Door samen te werken en te oefenen op een slotconcert voor de lokale gemeenschap, zullen de verschillende culturen van dichtbij worden meegemaakt.  Met het maken van muziek als de centrale activiteit, zullen eromheen ook andere activiteiten worden georganiseerd zoals workshops over de Europese Unie en over mensenrechten. Verder zal ieder land zijn eigen geschiedenis en cultuur presenteren met als doel te leren van de verschillen en overeenkomsten in de landen.

Activities: Discover Europe through music. Through cooperating and practicing together in order to prepare a final concert for the local community, the different participating cultures will be experienced closely. While making music, a European culture will shape up as music is a very important constituent of culture, and music unites. With making music as the central activity, there will be other activities around it such as workshops on the European Union and on Human Rights. Furthermore, each country presents its own history and culture with the purpose of learning about each others' countries' specificities but also commonalities. Europe after all, is characterized by 'unity in diversity', it's not about getting rid of differences, but about appreciating them.This youth exchange pursuits integration both through the cooperation in the making of music, and by the active learning about each other’s history and culture. It pays due attention to the appreciation of cultural diversity and intends to enhance awareness of a European community, obstacles to a unified Europe, the existence of each country in the context of one whole - the European Union, and also to global challenges. All the outcomes that come forward through the discussions will be the basis for the music concert in the end of the youth exchange.The exchange will contain a substantial amount of active learning while emphasizing the value and preciousness of inter-cultural friendship and trust. Therefore, over the course of the thirteen camp days the emphasis lies on an open atmosphere within which the various activities take place. Participants do not need to be musicians, but should have some affinity with making music and enjoy adding their own creativity to the whole.

‘Act intercultural, react through sport and a healthy way of life!’

Dit jeugdproject zal op het eind van Augustus georganiseerd worden en duurt twee weken. Tijdens deze twee weken zullen de deelnemers hun nationale sporten en gezonde maaltijden met elkaar delen. Ze zullen bovendien een sportdag organiseren voor de lokale jongeren. Er zullen verder ook discussies plaatsvinden over onder meer gezondheid, sporten, eerlijk spel en stereotypen in de sport.

Activities: ‘Act intercultural, react through sport and a healthy way of life!’ is a multilateral youth exchange, organized by UNA Exchange (UK), Concordia (FRA), Genctur (TUR), ESTYES (EST) and SIW Internationale Vrijwilligersprojekten (NL). Each country will represent four participants and one group leader. The youth exchange will be organized in the end of August for two weeks. During this exchange the intercultural exchange on sports and a healthy way of life are central. The participants will share their traditional sports and healthy meals. Moreover, they will organize an European sports day for local children. Finally, there will be several creative workshops and activities to stimulate the active participation of the youngsters. They will discuss on themes like health, sports, fairplay, stereotypes in sports and health for example and they will learn from the other cultures. They will promote and organize a sports day in various ways and there will be some activities/excursions to give the participants more input for discussions. The European differences and similarities on the themes described will come forward through all the activities in this youth exchange.

• Accommodation and food: You will stay in a youth center and cook with the group. Participants have to bring mattress and sleeping bag.

Year of the Volunteer

Dit is een jeugdproject in het teken van het jaar 2011 dat het Europese vrijwilligersjaar is. De vrijwilligers zullen deelnemen aan workshops over vrijwilligerswerk, hun houding en ervaring daaromtrent met elkaar delen en promotiemateriaal over vrijwilligerswerk produceren door videoclips te maken, foto’s te nemen, een blog te schrijven over hun activiteiten en een fototentoonstelling te presenteren in Bratislava.  Zij zullen verder deelnemen aan drie internationale vrijwilligerskampen in Oost Slowakije om het werk van vrijwilligers te zien.

Activities: “Year of the volunteer” is an youth exchange focused around the year 2011 being the European year of volunteering. The volunteers will take part in workshops about volunteering, share their experiences and attitudes towards it in their own culture, country and create promo materials about voluntary work through shooting video clips, taking photos, writing a blog about their activities and eventually hosting an exhibition of photos in Bratislava.  They will join three International voluntary workcamps in the Eastern Slovakia to see the work of the volunteers at these camps.  The main goal of this Exchange is to:

• Promote volunteering
• Share and present the attitudes toward volunteering
• Blog about the project and about volunteering in general
• Videos about the volunteering which could be used during the promotion of volunteering in 2011 (European year of volunteering)
• Photo exhibition at the end of the activities
• Create a shared cultural “Third Space”

"For active urban cultures in Europe"

Twaalf dagen lang zal een groep van drie nationaliteiten deelnemen aan een intercultureel uitwisselingsproject rond het thema stedelijke culturen in Europa. Een groep van achttien jonge Europeanen zal bij elkaar komen om een korte film te maken over stedelijke culturen in Europa en deel te nemen aan artistieke workshops rondom het Hiphop thema (graffiti, dans , zang). Aan het eind van het project zullen de jongeren hun korte film presenteren aan alle bewoners en op het Korte Film festival die gehouden wordt in oktober 2010.

Activities: For 12 days, a group of people from three nationalities (France, Italy, and the Netherlands) will participate in a project of intercultural exchange around the theme of urban cultures in Europe. Hosted in the activity room 'Alphonse Karr' in Paris (19th Arrondissement), a group of 18 young Europeans will gather to edit a short film on urban cultures in Europe and participate in workshops of artistic expression around the HIP-HOP culture (graffiti, dance, vocals). Through various activities and audiovisual arts, and thanks to technical and educational support, the young people will benefit from different areas of expression, and enrolment in workshops on video tools. They will not only improve their artistic skills but also gain self-confidence. These workshops, complemented by spaces for dialogue, discussions, and visits, will allow them to create a network for sharing experiences and cooperate in new projects.At the end of the exchange, the youth will present their short film with a screening open to all residents, and then at the Short Film Festival held in October 2010 by the Association R'Style.

Mee als begeleider van een groepje Nederlandse jongeren naar één van bovenstaande jongerenprojecten?

SIW en haar dochterorganisaties organiseren dit jaar diverse jeugdprojecten. Dit doen we met subsidie via de Europese Unie (Youth in Action). Twee van die jeugdprojecten vinden plaats hier in Nederland. Eén jeugdproject vind plaats in Frankrijk en er is er een in Slowakije. Je leest de omschrijvingen hierboven. Voor de jeugdprojecten hier in Nederland hebben we al voldoende begeleiders. Voor het project in Frankrijk en dat in Slowakije zoeken we nog begeleiders.

Als begeleider van een jeugdproject begeleid je een groepje Nederlandse jongeren. Elke vertegenwoordiging van elk land dat aan een jeugdproject deelneemt bestaat uit drie a vier jongeren en één begeleider. Als begeleider ga je vooraf alvast een keer naar de locatie van het project. Je neemt dan deel aan de zogenaamde Advanced Planning Visit (APV). De reiskosten voor de begeleider naar de APV worden volledig vergoed.

Tijdens het project zelf doe je mee aan het project zoals alle deelnemers. Omdat de deelnemers iets jonger zijn dan reguliere deelnemers aan een SIW-project, is het fijn dat ze kunnen terugvallen op jou als ervaringsdeskundige qua internationale vrijwilligersprojecten. Verder ben je de schakel tussen de organisatie van het project en de deelnemers. Je bent weliswaar leider van de Nederlandse delegatie, maar je maakt er juist sámen met de deelnemers (het zijn immers geen kleine kinderen meer) een fantastische ervaring van.

De APV's (voor jou als begeleider dus een gratis reisje vooraf) zijn:

• voor het project in Slowakije van 2 t/m 4 juli.
• voor het project in Frankrijk (Parijs, urban cultures) is de APV van 1 t/m 3 juli.
• voor het andere project in Frankrijk (Beaucaire, Mouvance) volgt de datum van de APV nog

Wat heel mooi is: je betaald voor de 2 weken maar € 120,- aan inschrijfkosten voor het project zelf. Van de reis krijg je 70% vergoed.
