The word “Marangu” means a place with too many water streams. It is one of the most popular places in Tanzania. Located at the foot of Africa’s tallest mountain, the quaint village of Marangu offers fascinating insight into both modern Tanzanian life and into the lives of the Chagga people who once withstood vicious Maasai raids through the ingenious use of tunnels. Many Marangu residents are farmers growing bananas, vegetables and coffee. However, the biggest source of income is tourism. The Marangu route is the most popular hiking route in Africa. The fact and reality of Marangu makes this place to be accessible with all social, economic and security facilities. You will not regret to be in Marangu, Kilimanjaro.
Saturdays, Fridays and Public holidays are considered free time for volunteers to explore what the regions can offer them in term of cultural and natural attractions. Being in Northern Tanzania known as the capital of cultural, natural and tourist attraction you will have a good number of options:-

In our really life we have experienced the fact that; a bigger percentage amount of a child’s time is spent sitting in a School environment. For instance in this locality; Children are expected to be at School from 07:30am to around 4:00pm. School environment is where children learn various skills deemed necessary and proper for them to achieve success for their future. It is where the student develops what they want their future to look like, as well as knowledge of the skills needed to reach that goal. These facts, explains how important the school environment is for a child growth. This project is implemented to contribute in the improvement of school environment and facilities to offer a more friendly and decent learning environment for the children.
Volunteers should be comfortable working indoors and outdoors, willing to share leadership roles, and having a sense of adventure. Volunteers are expected as well to be interested to work with children, open minded, flexible and independent.
