Locatie en vrije tijd
The word "Marangu" means a place with too many water streams. It is one of the most popular places in Tanzania. Located at the foot of Africa's tallest mountain, the quaint village of Marangu offers fascinating insight into both modern Tanzanian life and into the lives of the Chagga people who once withstood vicious Maasai raids through the ingenious use of tunnels. Many Marangu residents are farmers growing bananas, vegetables and coffee. However, the biggest source of income is tourism. The Marangu route is the most popular hiking route in Africa. The facts and reality of Marangu makes this place to be accessible with all social, economic and security facilities. You will not regret to be in Marangu, Kilimanjaro.
Being in Northern Tanzania known as the capital of cultural, natural and tourist attraction you will have a good number of options:
Cultural & Eco tourism around Chagga communities in Kilimanjaro, Masai in Arusha and the neighboring regions.
