Ga aan de slag als vrijwilliger tijdens een groepsproject in Kenia. Dit project vindt plaats van 4 t/m 23 april en biedt ruimte aan 20 deelnemers in de leeftijd van 18 t/m 75 jaar. Je gaat werkzaamheden uitvoeren gericht op cultuur.

Werk
Conservation of the vegetation which involves planting of trees in the conservancy, schools, and within the project.
Environmental clean-up exercises involving collection of plastics and wire traps that could harm animals.
Monitoring the animals through walks and eco-camping to spot injured and sick animals and reporting to the authorities.
Identifying animal foot prints to establish how far the animals are from human residences to help control conflicts.
Identifying animal populations by recording new births and deaths.
General maintenance of the center including cleaning and land-scaping.
Assisting in taking care of few domestic animals within the center.
Making of Maasai beads for selling to visitors to generate income.
Visiting homes for cultural learning.
Accommodatie en maaltijden
ARRIVAL AT THE AIRPORT
We will pick up all volunteers taking part in this workcamp from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. CIVS will arrange accommodation before and after the workcamp in a host family in the Buruburu area of Nairobi.
ACCOMMODATION
Accommodation will be at the project in this workcamp and it is important that you have your own sleeping bag and mat. During the workcamp, volunteers will get food from locally available foodstuffs and the volunteers will share the responsibility of preparing the food.

Volunteers participating in this project will be required to pay 265 Euros. This cost will include:
Airport pick up upon arrival & Airport drop off after the workcamp
Up to 3 nights’ accommodation in Nairobi
Introduction to Kenyan life through a Nairobi City Centre Tour before the workcamp
Workcamp Orientation at the CIVS office in Nairobi or the workcamp site
Food (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Workcamp facilitation and mentoring of volunteers by an experienced workcamp leader
Certificate of participation for the volunteer
All administrative costs
SAFARI OPTION
CIVS organizes safaris to all the spectacular National Parks and touristic sites in Kenya, with the main attraction being Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Volunteers who wish to go on a safari should apply at least two weeks before arrival to enable us to make proper arrangements. The fee charged is all-inclusive of meals, transport, park entry, accommodation and tour guiding.
Safari dates: 4th -6th November 2020
Charges: 3-day Safari to Maasai Mara National Park, 340 Euro
Voluteers under the age of 18 need to carry a parental agreement for participating.

CIVS Kenya organizes tours and safaris to spectacular sites of interest in Kenya. Volunteers, who wish to participate, should let us know as soon as possible in order to enable us to make proper arrangements. The fee charged is all-inclusive of meals, transport, park entry fees, accommodation and tour guiding. The cost of a 3 days safari to Masai Mara National Reserve is 340 Euro.
