The work will take place in the Institution for the Protection of Girls. The work will include animation workshops for the children of the institution, gardening, painting, and renovation work.
The duration of the work is 5 hours a day from Monday to Saturday
Volunteers will be accommodated at the "Institution Abdelaziz Ben Driss pour la protection de l'Enfance Fès". We will send you more details about the accommodation address.
Meals will be prepared and served by volunteers.
Volunteers will need to set up their own program of activities. Here are some hints to help you organize your program:
Volunteers will visit the 1400-year-old Médina of Fès: Mérinides School, Dar El Baroud, Moulay Idriss, El Quaraouiyine mosque, "Dar bagh".
Volunteers could also take part in the "son et lumières" entertainment and the surrounding tourist activities. We also propose a swimming pool.
You will also need to bring working clothes, a sleeping bag, and anything that could contribute to the good progress of the work camp (games sets, musical instruments, cooking recipes, etc...).
Fez was the first capital of Morocco and the country's oldest city, built in 809. Again in the 13th century, during the reign of the Merinid dynasty, and in the 14th century, the city became the spiritual and cultural center of traditional Morocco.
Fès is also the capital of handicrafts, specializing in pottery, copperplate engraving, and leatherwork. It's famous for its monuments: Fez El Bali, the medina, El Attarin, the horologe, and the ElQuaraouiyine mosque.
Chantiers Jeunesse Maroc organizes a work camp in Fez in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth.

Jongeren onder 18 jaar moeten voor vertrek verplicht een training volgen. De kosten hiervoor zijn € 50 euro en worden apart in rekening gebracht.
Let op: naast het inschrijfgeld betaal je ter plekke nog een lokale bijdrage van € 50.
