India | Restauratie
Samen met 9 andere vrijwilligers ga je voor 6 dagen naar een restauratieproject.
Het project duurt van 8 t/m 14 oktober.
There is a small Dam on Shili stream which conserves water and recharges a natural spring underneath. This natural spring is a source of drinking water for Bandh village and RUCHI campus. With harsh rains soil comes flowing down and silts this dam every 4-5 years therby reducing its catchment and water seepage capacity. Volunteers will work on renovation of this dam and removing silt from it and maintain the water body. It involves hard physical work.
Volunteers will live in the Guest House or Host Family. Simple basic amenities will be available. Asian squat type toilet or English WC will be available. Vegetarian food will be served. A cook will be there but volunteers are expected to help him and occasionally cook their own meals and maintain cleanliness. Sleeping bag is desirable.
