Volunteers main task is to work on picking mangrove seeds, seedling, planting, and supporting community activities such as building, community cleaning campaign, and organize workshop about trash management for local people
Volunteers will stay in the share bungalow where we rent it from community. Meal will be cook by volunteers and you will take shift to cook the meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
Volunteers can enjoy their free days in different places in Kampot province. There are many tourist attraction sites in Kampot province. You can visit Kep, Bokor national park, Rabit island, and more.
CYA has been cooperating with Trapaing Sangke Fishing Community (TFC) since 2012 in the purpose of supporting local community to protect, preserve, and plant more mangrove for the better income generation of fishermen. The presence of our int’l volunteers in this community were enable us to make this community become a very attractive eco – tourism site since 2014. TFC is now attracting thousands of tourists to visit every year so that beside earning from fishing local people are now also providing service for tourists to generate more income. CYA’s volunteers have been nursing and planting more 50,000 mangroves every year. Join us to make a different!
