The main aim is to establish a library system, which includes creating a friendly learning environment, train students and staff members how to use it.Your placement and activities:This work camp is a great way to see your impact in the local community from the start. Schools might have book collections but they might not be organised well. We need volunteers to create an inviting library room. This includes:-Painting walls and bookshelves, -Sorting books by genre and author in alphabetical order -Creating a book borrowing system. You will then teach children in a fun and creative way how to use the library. This is also a great opportunity to support children aged 5 to 12 years in their reading and writing skills. There will be one rest day in the middle of your work camp. If you ve volunteering at a school, the Saturdays will be a rest day also.
