Samen met 23 andere vrijwilligers ga je voor 14 dagen naar een archeologie en natuurproject.
Het project duurt van 28 juni t/m 12 juli.
Let op: naast het inschrijfgeld betaal je ter plekke nog een lokale bijdrage van € 20.
During the workcamp, the volunteers will take actively part in the following concrete objectives and tasks: – Excavation and extraction activities, prepare the excavation of the main entrance to the cave. – Carry out the washing, classification and inventory related to the archaeological material (pottery, lithic, bounds, charcoal) found during the excavation. -Contribute to the maintenance of the surroundings and different access of the cave. – Participate in the recovery of some heritage elements of dry stone from the surroundings of Mas Can Sadurní (cal ovens and dry stones); – Construction of a neolithical fence located in the outside terrace of the cave. – Make potteries using the Neolithic technical.
The participants of the workcamp will be installed in the school of Begues, “Sant Cristòfor School”, in the centre of the village of Begues, 30 km far from Barcelona. We will sleep in the school gymnasium, with space for 30 matresses. We will dispose of showers and toilets for girls and boys. The meals will take place in the school dining room. The cleaning service will be maintained all the July by the Municipality, and they’ll be responsible for the WC’s, the showers and the dining room. The rest of the areas will be cleaned by the working groups.
We have planned a wide range of activities in the afternoon, evening and night games that aim to improve group relations and enter into the area of human values. The set of activities based on educational values, has as its primary objective the creation of the necessary conditions to foster reflection and living spaces that allow new forms of social relations: co-education, interculturality, peace or sustainability are perspectives from which it seeks to promote dialogue and reflections. These activities proposal could be discussed and adapted to other type of activities depending expectations and interests of the group. Some highlight activities are: – Excursion and outdoor sleeping in Garraf natural Park – Excursion to Barcelona: one day visit entering on ones of the most emblematic museums – Traditional fest of Begues: and possibility of drumming workshop – Workshop of Castells (traditional human castle)

For over 30 years they have been "Educating children and youth, strengthening leisure organizations and the third sector, improving the environment and promoting social inclusion and citizenship, with a desire for change. Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai organizes a range of leisure education, training monitors, and developing programs of education in values. Within this range of activities are workcamps, which for many years, the Fundació Catalana de l’Esplai has been promoting and developing.
