Frankrijk | Restauratie
Samen met 7 andere vrijwilligers ga je voor 14 dagen naar een restauratieproject.
Het project duurt van 5 t/m 19 september.
Supported by the technical camp leader, you will learn the techniques of traditional masonry and help to renovate an old wall made of stones.
You will be accommodated in a municipality building closed to the city, with an access to the toilets and the showers. The group will share the cleaning chores and prepare meals together. The budget will be allocated to the group leader and you will participate in the preparation of dishes with good products from the market and local producers.
Clermont-l’Herault is located in the departement of Herault, 40km far from Montpellier and only 50km from the Mediterranean Sea. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful historic heritage (Castle of Guilhem, Collegiale Saint-Paul…) and the natural heritage (Lake of Saragou, Cirque of Moureze…). You will choose among a lot of different activities for your free time, such as hiking, water sports, swimming in the Gorges of Herault! More information: http://www.ville-clermont-herault.fr/
Come and discover the traditional techniques of masonry and participate to the promotion of the local heritage of Clermont-l’Herault city! Clermont l’Herault, honoured partner of Concordia, wishes to continue his politic of development and embellishment of the city. After many different camps (environmental and building heritage renovation), the city of Clermont l’Herault proposes us to continue the work to beautify the place. During the project, volunteers will have the opportunity to join in different activities in this beautiful rural city and exceptional surroundings with the lake of Salagou!
For the work, please bring gardening gloves, working clothes and closed shoes. As the night can be quite cold, remember also to bring warm clothes and a sleeping bag. Don’t forget your protections against the sun (hat, glasses, sun screen) and your swim suit! Some shared times could be organized if you want, so please feel free to bring some cultural stuff in your bag (food, recipes, stories or dances)! Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues happen on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and then be reimbursed once back in their home country.
