Sant Salvador de Guardiola, Barcelona.
In 1965, a group of parents of people with intellectual disabilities came together to defend the rights of their children. In order to fight for their full integration, they created an organization with this goal that in 2010 was renamed Ampans Foundation. Right now, it offers several services that support people with this condition, normalizing their lives with respect, professionalism and dedication. Volunteers will mainly help with manual tasks at the farm, vineyard and municipality around the residential home for intellectually disabled people.
Please, bring your sleeping bag and send additional motivation letter stating your experience working with people with disabilities and explaining why you wish to attend the camp.
Several cultural and leisure activities will be held during the workcamp: weekend in Barcelona, visit to Montserrat, beach excursion, pool day, village tour, etc.
