Denemarken | Constructie en natuur
Samen met 19 andere vrijwilligers ga je voor 13 dagen naar een constructie en natuurproject.
Het project duurt van 26 augustus t/m 8 september.
We have planned 3-4 projects that we will be building these two weeks. The 4 projects that we expect to work on (but haven’t decided 100% yet) are: – Building a dome for a sauna – Building a dome for a farmshop with local food – Building a shelter and a bonfire at our lake – Building a cold cellar underground for vegetables – Cooking for the big "communal building festival"-team A lot of local Frilanders will join the building process, so there will be a lot of possibilities to network with people. It will be a "communal building festival" with a building activities during the day and social activities during the evenings.
Sleeping facilities: Simple accommodation in tents. We have tents, but you're welcome to bring your own. Be aware that the Danish summer can be cold, especially in the nights. Bring your own sleeping mattress and a sleeping bag. There might be possibility to sleep at local Frilanders’ houses. Kitchen + bathroom facilities: There is kitchen and toilets/shower in the community house Washing: There are no washing machines, but if it is needed, most Frilanders have a washing machine and can lent it out. Food: Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served all workdays. In the weekends where there is no work, you will cook yourself. NB: If you are vegetarian, vegan, have allergy, do not eat pig etc., please inform us in advance of your arrival.½
The village is placed in a one of the national parks of Denmark and is one of the most beautiful parts of the country. It is only 9 km from the sea. We will arrange some communal trips to the beach or a nearby lake to swim. A limited number of bikes will be available to use for personal trips in the local area. Bon fires at night (bring your instruments). We expect to have a social program with e.g. Yoga, singing, dancing and other things – but it isn´t planned in details yet.
Friland is a Danish eco-village situated in the National Park of Djursland (near to Aarhus). We are 70 adults and 40 kids in the eco-village. We are close neighborhood that share visions and principles about sustainable living. Most Frilanders have build their own house of sustainable materials. Have a look at our webpage: www.friland.org
A motivational letter is required.
You must be willing to work outside during day time. It is an advantage to have flair for practical work. We will arrange the work according to the participant’s skills and physics. Please bring practical clothes and shoes for working in all kind of weather (wind, sun, rain, mud etc.).
