You will be accommodated in collective rooms, near Gap. With the help of the workcamp leaders, you will participate in the collective life (household, dishes …), but also, in turns, you will prepare the meals from the local products.
Gap. You will get to spend some time with the inhabitants of the city and you will have the opportunity to participate in local events, including a concert organized on the Charance area. During free time, you can discover the small villages around and enjoy surround nature for hiking and sports activities. Also it is possible visit the tourist city Gap, but also visiting of the region can be organized.
Do you wish to be immersed in deep nature and to participate in the development of fruit-growing heritage? Come to join us to discover the orchards of Charance! This 220 hectares area has been awarded "Outstanding Gardens" by the French Ministry of Culture. You will also discover the arboretum and the agricultural eco-museum. Launched in 1984 by the Botanical Conservatory of Gap-Charance, the orchards were abandoned in 2004 due to a lack of political and financial will. In 2016, the Alpine Society for the Protection of Nature, decided to take up the challenge of their rehabilitation. More than 4,000 trees and 1,500 varieties of apples and pears can be found there.
