Frankrijk | Constructie en restauratie

Samen met 9 andere vrijwilligers ga je voor 21 dagen naar een constructie en restauratieproject.
Het project duurt van 29 augustus t/m 19 september.

The work for this project will be composed of a series of small jobs around the village. You will have the opportunity to learn different traditional techniques that are used to build the dry stone walls, and you will be introduced to the skill of stone-cutting. During your time there, you will work alongside different local associations helping save the village's heritage. For example, you will participate in a two-day event called Days of European Heritage.
A local resident will provide a barn as a dormitory, and tents will also be set up. If you wish to have more privacy, you may bring your own tent. His personal kitchen and living room will be at your disposal.
Salles-sur cérou, located an hour and 30 minutes north of Toulouse and 30 minutes from Albi. Leisure activities : You will have the opportunity to enjoy the heritage and natural environment by going swimming or canoeing down the streams. During your free time you will also discover Salles and all of it's heritage sites by foot, or you may visit neighbouring villages such as Najac, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, Albi, and other remarkable sites within the proximity. You will also have the chance to share where you come from, through exchanges with local associations and residents.
Be ready for a warm and enthusiastic welcome to the abandoned gardens, where you will be surrounded with opportunities to meet a diverse group of people! Thanks to the first three projects since 2015, the group of international volunteers has created an enthusiastic atmosphere in Salles and amongst it's local population. The residents, moved by the cheerful encounters of past groups are impatiently waiting for your arrival! Local volunteers will join you on the work site as well as for leisure time. Located between Carmaux and Cordes-sur-Ciel (the latter elected as a favourite village by the French in 2014), the medieval town of Salle, radiates with beautiful architecture and natural sources such as the Cérou river that crosses it.
