Your mission will consist in enhancing and highlighting a charming wall of dry stones :
– remove a fragile part of the wall;
– Sort the stones and organize the sorting in the workspace;
– learn how to choose the stones to raise the wall back to its original height
The construction of dry stone walls is really traditional and technical. Preserving these buildings on the territories helps to maintain the flora and fauna as the dry stone walls are real ecological niches for many species.

Accomodation is soon to be confirmed. During the camp you’ll have the opportunity to show off your culinary skills by initiating other volunteers with typical dishes from your region. Meals, like all daily activities will be carried out collectively. We will favor local and seasonal products.

The General Council inherited the domain of Villevaux in 2008. The property measures 20 hectars composed of nature and two buildings. Mr Jean Husson, the donor of the site had a wish : find concrete solutions to reinvigorate this exceptional site respecting its environmental qualities and public’s vocation. The building and the lands situated at the bottom of the valley are part of a sensitive natural area of the Meurthe-et-Moselle General Council. The beautiful site is also called the “Small Switzerland of Lorraine”!
