You will continue the renovation of two facades of the “House of associations”, an old bourgeois stone building. For this, you will have to work on scaffolding (a temporary structure of metal and wooden boards which helps construction workers to do their work). Your first job will be to remove the existing plaster covering the walls after which you will apply a new coating of lime plaster tinted with natural pigments.
You will be accommodated in tents in the city center with all necessary facilities available. You will have access to a room for cooking and for collective activities. The park nearby will provide you with opportunities to enjoy your free time out in the sun. The group will be sharing the cleaning chores and the preparation of meals.

Latresne is a village situated along the Garonne river, close to the city of Bordeaux. The village has lovely green areas and many old buildings which reflect a rich heritage. The municipality of Latresne asked Concordia to participate in the restoration of their heritage. Bringing locals and international volunteers together, working and sharing experiences side by side is an important part of this project. Events will be organized around a mobile bar/barbecue which was designed and built during a previous workcamp.
Please bring a sleeping bag, work clothes, walking shoes, warm clothes and rain gear, a flashlight, a swimsuit and sun cream.
Foreigners from the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card). Everybody must, in any case, bring their health insurance certificate. If any health issues occur during the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.
