This workcamp, intended for teenagers, will have as an objective the cleaning of the river banks. On this project the volunteers will remove bulky items, clear the access to the river and that way help to prevent possible future fires and floods.
You will be accommodated in tents near a municipal building with access to toilets and showers. You will share the various collective tasks; the budget will be allocated to the camp leaders and you will participate in the purchase of food and the preparation of meals by privileging healthy and local products.
Ceyras is in the department of Herault, 40km away from Montpellier, and only 50km away from the Mediterranean Sea. You will be able to enjoy the beauty of this area, offering both historical heritage (Guilhem Castle, Collegiate Saint-Paul …), as well as natural heritage (Lake Salagou, Cirque de Mourèze …). You can choose between many activities during your free time such as hiking, swimming in the Gorges de l’Herault, water activities and more!
Come and discover a small rural village in the South of France and help to clean the banks of the river.
The municipality of Ceyras wishes to welcome young teenagers from all over the world and young locals to promote intercultural encounters and an exchange between peoples.
It is in this context that the local heritage association and the municipality of Ceyras wish to enhance the banks of the river.
