– organize language activities of English (and/or French, Spanish, German) as a foreign language for children and teenagers (2-4 academic hours per day),-prepare a staged song/sketch/poem etc in a foreign language with children for the Parents Day concert,-prepare and make a presentation for children about the Volunteer s own country, its culture, traditions etc.-to prepare and supervise culture, sports and other activities taking place at the camp,-use a variety of methods to encourage development and personal growth of children;-to modify camp activities in accordance with children s interests and abilities;- encourage children s interest in foreign languages;-create language environment and motivate children to communicate in foreign languages;-immediately inform the Camp Coordinator of any accidents or/and violent incidents in the camp.
While at the camp the Volunteer is provided with food (5 meals a day) and accommodation (room to share with 1-3 other people, adjacent bathroom with a shower)
The project takes place at Children s camp Nadezhda (Krasnoyarsk district, Samara region, Russia). This camp is located in a picturesque green forested area and have a large territory with lots of sportsgrounds and open-air swimming pools. The camp also has 24-hour security guards and medical personnel.The Volunteer is to organize 2-4 academic hours of language activities (1 academic hour = 45 minutes) a day and to have 4-6 hours a day organizing, preparing and supervising sports, culture, entertainment and other activities.The Volunteer can have 2 days off per camp. The schedule of working days and days off is to be agreed with Camp Coordinator within the first three days of the camp.All Volunteers may not have their day off on the same day. Maximum 2 Volunteers can have their day off on the same day.The Volunteer can spend their days off either in Samara hostel or in the camp. Food and accommodation is at the expense of Ya-PolyglotIf the Volunteer stays in Samara, a buddy is provided by Ya-Polyglot.

The Volunteer is responsible for:-health and safety of the children they are supervising during any activity or lesson they are in charge of,-keeping any materials or equipment they use in their work in good condition;-following health, safety and fire-safety regulations as well as camp daily schedule;-respecting children s rights;-being ethical and tolerant with both children and staff in the camp.
