The volunteers will join a children’s summer camp where they will contribute to the activities with their own ideas and initiatives. This will include organizing workshops, arts-and-crafts, sports and leisure activities for the kids.
The volunteers will receive meals 3 times a day. The accommodation is yet to be specified.
Szécsény is a small village is Northern Hungary, close to the Slovakian border. The surroundings are rich with natural beauty, and in the close surroundings of Szécsény, there are several uniquely preserved traditional settlements, among others, Hollókő a UNESCO World Heritage village. In their free time, volunteers will have a chance to go on excursions or discover hidden cultural gems of this outstanding region.
The local partner is a public school, called II. Rákóczi Ferenc Primary and High School. The school is located in a disadvantaged rural area of Hungary, thus, the presence and contribution of international volunteers is highly appreciated by both the school staff and the children.
