The workcamp takes place in a small village of Chlebovice in cooperation with a local branch of the Czech Association of Beekeepers which is focused on beekeeping and it is also very active in organizing public events and environmental education activities for youth. They also host summer camps for children, take care of a unique museum of beekeeping and offer excursions to tourists. The Association runs The Bees Education Centre (a renovated historical building with a nice garden and apiary). This year s workcamp will be the 5th. The goal will be to help with the renovation of the Bees Education Centre and organization of an educational event for children and parents.
This workcamp is perfect for volunteers interested in the topic of bees and anyone who enjoy working with youth. Allergies notice: in the workcamp site, there are several beehives so the workcamp is not suitable for volunteers that are allergic to bee stings.
