This year the group will work on the improvement of our site by constructing artistic elements to decorate our future “park” and shared space. We also plan to start working around a new building called “the Maurel farm” by clearing it up before starting renovation work. All the work will be supervised by members of the Citrus association. Accompanied by energetic hosts, you will have numerous opportunities of rich cultural exchanges as well as shared meals with Citrus staff and local volunteers. This project will bring together 5 French, 5 German, and 5 participants of a third country as part of a partnership with the Office Franco-Allemand pour la Jeunesse.
In tents at the Citrus site in Mayounelle, with access to a sanitary block and a kitchen under a tent.
Location : Laguépie, located 100 km northeast of Toulouse, between Albi and Villefranche-de-Rouergue.
Leisure activities: A passionate local host will teach you how to cook seasonal dishes using the vegetables grown in the garden. Food workshops will also be organized so that you can learn the basics of a healthy diet. During your free time, you will have the opportunity to go swimming, hiking, and mingling with the other volunteers from the workcamp and from Laguépie. You will also be able to organize evening pizza dinners and game nights, and to visit the medieval villages of Najac, Cordes sur Ciel, and Saint-Antonin Noble Val.
A fulfilling experience that embraces differences and self-discovery, as well as teaching teens manual and useful skills. This workcamp takes place on site at Citrus association in the beautiful village of Laguépie, between two rivers. For the past ten years, we have been renovating an old farm with the help of many teenager workcamps and the involvement of local and international volunteers. You will be fully involved in this ongoing project.
This project is supported by the Franco-German Youth Office (FGYO) and is reserved to French, German and Italy
