Formerly called the “Petite Suisse poitevine”, the town of Béruges occupies a remarkable site overlooking the valley of the Boivre and has remains from prehistoric, Gallo-Roman and Merovingian times. A dynamic commune, values its archaeological and historical riches thanks to its archaeological museum testifying to the daily life of the past (ceramics, toiletries and jewelry, tools, and elements) and proposes paths of discovery: ancient roads, a monumental Gallo-Roman wall, and viewpoints. It is in this context that the town of Béruges wishes to renew its partnership with Maison des Bateleurs ─ Solidarités Jeunesses, in order to host an international youth work camp with the aim of continuing the renovation of Maison Bourdin, which destined to become a place of value for the communities heritage.
