This work camp is located in the village of Celanova (Ourense), 25 kilometers from the capital of the province, close to the border that separates Portugal-Ourense. It is well connected by highway AG-31 recently constructed, which puts us just over an hour from the cities of Santiago and Vigo, and their respective airports. It is a mid-mountain, with soft green valleys and hills, by Arnoia River, a tributary of the main river in Galicia, the Minho.
Celanova has an important and unique heritage that reflects the passage of time and stands as a great example of the historical evolution in Galicia. From the archaeological site of Castromao (reflection of the Castro culture and Romanization) to two Poets House, this serves as memorial of two of the leading writers of Galician literature Curros Enriquez and Celso Emilio Ferreiro, both born in Celanova. Its architectural heritage is supplemented by the medieval town of Vilanova dos Infantes, the Mozarabic chapel of St. Michael and the impressive monastery of San Rosendo, a major monastic building in Galicia.
It should also be noted that close to Celanova is Xures Natural Park and the National Park of Peneda-Geres Portugal, two areas of great natural and geographical beauty.
