Environmental activities: to conserve the surrounding of the island, to help in prevention of forest fires and to help to clean seaweed wearing neoprene clothes in the South Island. Participate in the information activities to visitors and to help physical disabled (wheelchair or old people) visitors and to collaborate with the Environment Service of the National Park.
Participants will be accommodated in tents in the work camp of Cies Islands (Vigo-Pontevedra). The site also has buildings as dining room and bathrooms. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided by specialized staff.
Leisure and sport activities (snorkel).
Visit by fishing boat around the islands.

The General Direction for Youth, Participation and Volunteering has among its powers to promote work camps in the region of Galicia. This general direction belongs to the Ministry of Social Policy of the regional government of Galicia (www.xunta.gal).
The Work Camp of the Cies Islands is an activity that has been carried out continuously in the Islands since 1979, except in the year of the Prestige disaster.
It is necessary to come with a sleeping bag and bathroom towels.
INTERNAL RULES: To be a volunteer involves:
Working selflessly the hours stipulated on the labour planning, during five days a week.
Cooperating with the leisure time activities, planning, development and taking part in them.
Contributing towards the workcamp general operation (administration, cleaning, cooking…) Respecting the different beliefs, ideologies and personal differences among the work camp participants. Staying at the camp during the programmed period. Respecting the internal and life together rules: accepting the person in charge instructions, respecting the schedule. Not using private vehicles during the workcamp length.
