Volunteers will work in the day care homes (kindergarden) of Mersin-Mezitli Municipality. Volunteers
will teach children English, play games with them, organize activities and activities produced by nonformal
education methods to support the socialization and learning processes of children aged 3-6.

The volunteers will stay in the charming guesthouse of the municipality's Happy Life Village. The
guesthouse has a shower, toilet and air conditioning and has bunk beds. Volunteers will eat their
meals at the Down Café, where individuals with Down Syndrome work. The dishes will be prepared
by the cooks of down café. Thus, both the volunteers' food needs will be met and the employment
and socialization processes of individuals with Down Syndrome will be supported.

City, is one of the largest and most beautiful districts of the city. Mersin and Mezitli are the main cities
and districts that are mostly favored for refugees for harboring coming to Turkey due to the Syrian

municipality, one of the most successful municipalities in Turkey with its intensive efforts in social
innovation and urban studies, is the host of this camp. Mersin Mezitli Municipality, which stands out
with its social and economic support and sustainable environmental projects for socially
disadvantaged individuals such as disabled people, Down syndrome people, people with autism,
children, the elderly, asylum seekers, is one of the main factors that makes this region attractive.
Volunteers who will attend this camp must be fluent in English, be child-friendly and be able to produce activities appropriate for children.
