The community of Scheinfeld is looking forward to welcoming you on their children’s construction site this summer to support them with their vacation program. You will join the team of local volunteers to help and guide the children in their creative projects, meaning that you will spend a lot of time outside in the fresh air and help the children with their constructions, using saws and hammers. Another task will be to take care of the campfire and help making bread on a stick. You are also going to be active in construction yourself: You will build a big fort at the entry of the adventure park. Feel free to bring in your own ideas and to develop your own project!

Locatie en vrije tijd
Scheinfeld is a small town of 4.500 inhabitants situated 14 km northwest of Neustadt (Aisch), and 40 km east of Wuerzburg in the Bavarian region called Franconia. The area is covered by the Steigerwald and Frankenhoehe nature parks, both comprising large forested and hilly areas. Adjacent to the town is the medieval castle Schloss Schwarzenberg, home to one of the town’s secondary schools and partly a boarding school nowadays. The cities of Nuremberg, Wuerzburg, Bamberg and Rothenburg ob der Tauber are all nearby.
It is not necessary to speak German in order to participate; however, it is a big help for sure. The children usually don t speak English; some of the kids have an international background though, so you might be able to communicate with some of them in your mother tongue. NOTE: Please attach a Motivation Letter with your application We would like to know about your motivation to work with children, if you have any experiences in this field and if you speak (a bit of) German.
