If you want to experience exciting new encounters this summer in one of the liveliest cities in the world while also getting in touch with your creative side, then this is exactly the camp for you. You’ll be working with your team for the foundation Sozialstiftung Köpenick, in establishments for people with disabilities. The daily working time is around 4 hours. The highlight of the camp will be a communal summer festival. Your main task will be helping to prepare for the festival. Here you can be creative and contribute your own ideas and interests, by doing things such as making decorations for the festival or running small musical or theatrical projects. During the third week, a day trip is planned both for people with and without disabilities.
You will be staying in a scouts’ house in the Tempelhof district of Berlin. You’ll be sleeping on mattresses on the floor and the house has a large garden. You will receive lunch from the accommodation during the week. All other meals will be prepared and cooked by the group.
Berlin offers an enormous cultural diversity and you have endless possibilities to make your free time exciting. In order to accommodate the many different interests of your team, you’ll receive a ticket which can be used for all public transport across Berlin, valid for the duration of the camp.
You should be open to interacting with people with disabilities.
