You will work 4 hours a day, in the morning on the work site: it will mainly be traditional masonry work. With a mason to guide you, you will carry out during these 2 weeks: the cleaning of an old city wall. It will first be necessary to remove the stones in poor condition, redo the joints to consolidate the frame. Then you will restore the wall according to traditional techniques : it will then be necessary to make a lime mortar, cut the stones, position them. Your group will work jointly with a group of young French people, residents of Etoile. This will allow exchanges and common learning. The site is a 10-minute walk from your accommodation. You agree to comply with the safety instructions.

As our building is undergoing an administrative procedure to be validate as being able to host young people under 18, we don t know yet if you are going to sleep under tents on the village (with bathroom access of course) and spending you days and meals at our regional office, or if you will also be able so sleep in the rooms of the buildings. Our regional premises: the chapel of the penitents. This place has been restored and has been hosting groups of volunteers for 20 years. The chapel has a large common room, a kitchen, a washing machine. You will have access to toilets and showers on site. Upstairs you will find a dormitory as well as another bedroom upstairs. You participate as a team in the upkeep of the premises and in the household tasks inherent in group life. Supervision: 2 qualified campleaders will be present on site to supervise the group.As soon as we know, we will let you know whre will be the sleeping place (tents or building).

Etoile is located 12 km from Valence, and around 35 from Montelimar. On site, you will have many exchanges with local young people and interactions with local associations. You can visit Valence, Crest or even the Chateau de Crussol, depending on the tastes of your group. Be ready to introduce other volunteers to your country and your culture
This workcamp is reserved for young people aged 14 to 17. French bases would be an asset to exchange with local young people. When registering, you must fill out a certain number of compulsory documents: health card, parental authorization, entry form ... Apprenticeship: this site will be an opportunity to learn to work in a group, in different languages. It will also involve gaining manual skills by learning how to handle traditional masonry tools and rules.
