Located 10 minutes walk from the main town of Le Falgoux, Le Cher is a charming little hamlet populated with typical houses of the area (Cantalou type). In its square, there is an old wash-house, a small stone building that was used in the past, thanks to the supply of water for household chores (laundry, dishes). Today non-functional, your mission will be to restarore it and enhance this heritage typical of rural villages in France. You will learn masonry and water connection techniques. You will decorate the place with plant beds to enhance the wash-house. You will also participate in the organization of entertainment related to the passage of the Tour de France and the arrival of the stage. The Tour de France is an important cycling event in France. Each year, more than 170 riders cross France on their bikes for almost a month. An event broadcast throughout France and internationally. This will be an opportunity for you to discover this sporting event marking the start of the summer and to meet cycling enthusiasts who will be able to pass on their knowledge and experiences.
Accommodatie en maaltijden
You will be accommodated in one of the dormitories of a communal tourist lodge located in the village. You will share the common areas (kitchen, bathroom and toilet) with the other travelers staying in the lodge. You will find in the village centre a grocery store and one bar-restaurant and a hotel-restaurant. You can get to the work site by foot (10 to 15 minutes walk).

Le Falgoux is a village of 128 inhabitants located 2 hours drive south from the city of Clermont-Ferrand. Surrounded by three mountain passes, it is on the route of many hiking trails. Among the many heritage riches of the fortified city, the Saint-Mathieu church. Salers also owes its reputation to the richness of its land, including cheese and meat. You will also participate in activities and entertainment organized around the Tour de France.
