*** VERSION EN FRANCAIS DISPONIBLE EN FIN DE DESCRIPTION *** *** French version at the end of the description *** Come and participate in the restoration of the Avricourt church, one of the few churches in the area that survived the First World War. In the continuity of the masonry work of the previous workcamps you will participate in the renovation of this small church built in the 18th Century. More particularly, you will do traditional masonry work on the large facade of the church: restore wall joints, stake, repoint or even replace bricks and stones. This work may be high up and require climbing on scaffolding.

You will have the village hall at your disposal as a living space. Individual tents will be provided and you may sleep in the festival hall as a backup solution in case of bad weather. Please note that there is only one shower and one toilet to share. You will prepare the meals and do the collective tasks all together. The kitchen is full-equipped (oven, dishwasher, cold room, etc.).

Avricourt is located 15 km away from the town of Noyon, in the North of the department of Oise. Thus, Avricourt has a central position in Picardy and will allow you to visit Amiens with its cathedral and its floating gardens called “hortillonnages”, Compiègne with its imperial palace, Noyon with its historical center, etc. You may also walk in the surrounding countryside where you may admire the beautiful landscapes of cereal fields and small pasture valleys.

Please don’t forget to bring gloves, clothes and shoes for work. They may be aquatic activities, so bring a swimsuit. For accommodation in tents, bring your sleeping bag and a camping mat. Tents are provided. If you are a musician, don't hesitate to bring your instrument: the Noyon Band is ready to welcome you to play with. You can also bring traditional food from your country/region, photos, games: whatever you like and want to share during the workcamp with the local population or with the group of volunteers! Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate.
