For both weeks, the work is mainly about helping the local community. The first week of the workcamp consists of maintenance and cleaning of a sports facility in the municipality. This project will be led by enthusiastic people that know the facility well. The work also includes repairs and general optimization of the sports centres. The second week of the workcamp consists of different work assignments. The work will include the construction of practical work at the harbour area, establish an auto camper area, maintain outdoor exercise equipment and make the nature surroundings attractive to tourists. The work is in the daytime form about 9 am to 16 pm, with a good long lunch break. And a lot of fun and time to socialize.

Accommodatie en maaltijden

Sleeping facilities: The first week is spent in rooms at Holmsland Sports- and Culture Centre. The plan is that everyone will be sleeping in one room. You have to bring your own sleeping bag and a pillow if you need one. In the second week, you will be sleeping in camping cabins at Bork Harbour Camping. Washing machines are available. Kitchen + bathroom facilities: During the first week, all food will be prepared for you in the centre's kitchen. You will not have access to the kitchen, but an electric kettle will be available for coffee and tea in the evening. You will be making your own lunch to go, with food that is provided by the staff. The bathroom and shower at the centre will be open for you. During the second week, where you will be staying at the Bork Harbour Camping, there will be a small kitchen available. In this kitchen, you will prepare your own breakfast and lunch, and dinner will be served at a restaurant. This information will be given later. There is a bathroom in the cabin and more bathrooms and a shower available at the campsite. Vegetarian meals will be available both weeks.

Locatie en vrije tijd

The area provides plenty of opportunities for water sports, bathing, hiking and biking. If you are culturally interested, there are several museums and the newly opened centre; ‘Naturkraft’ talks about the forces of nature in Ringkøbing. The Holmslands Sports- and Culture centre is only a few kilometres from the fjord. Also close is an adventure park with football golf, bowls and adventure golf, miniature golf and so on. Therefore, plenty of opportunities to play sports in the hall, social gathering and fun in the evenings. Near Bork Harbor, where you will be staying during the second week, there are sandy beaches, great swimming opportunities and the finest surf facilities. There are small restaurants, shops and a cosy summer atmosphere. Every day the fishermen come in from the fjord with fresh fish. Here is in other words something for everyone.
