As a volunteer, you will be working 5 days a week, with 2 days off. The Work Camp volunteers work together with local volunteers typical 7 hours or less to help with different tasks during the Summer Camp and help out the camp participants. Work starts in the morning, in the afternoon and some tasks, like being a part of the video crew, means you must work at different times during the day. There will be a rotation between the tasks to make the days vary for the volunteers. The different tasks can include assisting in the kitchen, where you will help prepare both vegetarian and meat dishes and serve the food to the other camp participants. Similar tasks can include helping with cleaning assistance or drive shuttle buses to and from the airport, train station, ferry terminals and practice halls. Other tasks can include overseeing activities with the camp participants and the smallest children, helping in the administration with check inn, check out and room preparations and make video-reports for international live streaming, write articles and take photos for social media. It will also be possible to be a sparring partner in the Table Tennis Camp and interact with the camp participants. The camp is good for you, if you like to be in an international environment and can adapt to changes.

Locatie en vrije tijd

During your three weeks stay in Northern Jutland you will have time to explore some unique nature and attractions in Denmark. You can, for example, arrange a day trip to Skagen, the most Northern tip of Denmark where two oceans meet. Skagen is famous for the special light which has attracted many painters, cosy yellow and red houses and much more. You can also visit Hjørring, which is a city with 30.000 citizens. It is less than 15 km from the sea and beautiful sandy beaches. The biggest sports event in Denmark takes place in Hjørring during the Work Camp. It is called Dana Cup and is from the 24th to the 29th of July. The neighbouring town called Hirtshals is the biggest Aquarium in Northern Europe. And in another neighbouring town is the biggest summer amusement park in Denmark called “Fårup Sommerland”.
