Come and discover a little village in Brittany! For the first time with Concordia, the municipality of Torce welcomes you to the restoration of the Chapelle St Roc'h. You will work for two weeks on the rehabilitation of the chapel. This is an opportunity to discover this town as well as its inhabitants ready to meet you and exchange with you. Thus, you will have the opportunity to experiment different modern and traditional masonry techniques such as cement flushing, laying of mortar, brushing of surfaces, painting and so on.

You will be accommodated in tents, next to the sports field (bring your sleeping mat and your sleeping bag, you can also bring your own tent for more confort). Collective life will be organized nearby. You will share the different collective tasks and prepare meals together. A budget will be allocated to the group leader and you will participate in the shopping and the preparation of meals, prioritising healthy and local products.

Torce (about 1000 inhabitants) is located in the department of Ille et Vilaine, in Brittany. Several hiking trails are arranged in this town. You can go out to the sea or enjoy leisure activities in the city of Vitre (about 18,000 inhabitants) 12 km away, whose architectural heritage is typical from the region and wonderfully preserved!

Torce is a small rural town of around 1000 inhabitants located in the North of Ille et Vilaine department, in east of Brittany. For Concordia, this will be the first participation in a workcamp in this area. Locals are delighted to see people from all over the world come to restore their heritage!

Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues happen on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.

You will have to bring warm clothes (trousers, sweater, socks, closed shoes, rain clothes) and light ones (skirts or shorts, t-shirts, open shoes) because the weather can change very suddenly in Brittany. You can literally experience all four seasons in one day! Please also take with you working clothes, gloves and shoes in addition to your swimsuit. Bring a warm sleeping bag and an insulated camping mat as nights are sometimes fresh and wet.
