You will work on the construction of a stone well (traditional masonry) in the village of Beuvillers, in the heart of Normandy. This workcamp is the result of collaboration between the non-profit organization Concordia, the municipality of Beuvillers and the Apprentis d'Auteuil of Lisieux (a social structure that welcomes young migrants and refugees). The town hall is in charge of a project to develop the Sainte-Radegonde spring, which has therapeutic properties. This workcamp is one of the first steps in the project to develop the site. For this first year of partnership, a group of international and national volunteers and young people from the Apprentis d'Auteuil association will work together on the construction of the well. You will be accompanied by the workcamp leaders throughout the work site to help you step by step in learning these techniques!

Collective accommodation in tents, in the Beuvillers Park. Sanitary facilities and showers in the leisure building. Community life and kitchen in a room in the building Park. You will share the different collective tasks and prepare meals together. The budget will be allocated to the group leaders and you will participate in the preparation of meals with good products from the market and local producers. Bring a camping mat and a sleeping bag.

Beuvillers is located near Lisieux in the department of Calvados, in the heart of Normandy. Various activities will be organised in parallel with the construction of the well: cultural discovery, visits to historical sites, organisation of games and events in the town, participation in the organisation of a "Foire a tout" on 14 July, discovery of Norman culinary specialities, and walking tours.

This is the first year of partnership between Concordia and the commune of Beuvillers. For the first time, the municipality will host an international workcamp. The inhabitants are very involved in helping you discover the Norman culture and a remarkable heritage environment. They will be very happy to exchange with people from all over the world. Exchanges between locals and volunteers are guaranteed: be sure to be won over by the warm atmosphere of this village!

Please bring gardening gloves, good shoes for work and working clothes. As nights can be quite cold, also remember to bring warm clothes. Do not forget to bring a camping mat, a sleeping bag for cold weather (and a tent if you have your own!). Don’t hesitate to bring traditional things from your home, photos, games, music instruments, etc. Foreigners belonging to the European Union must bring with them a personal EHIC (European Health Insurance Card), and everybody must, in any case, bring their insurance certificate. If health issues happen on the project, volunteers will have to pay for it, and will then be reimbursed once back in their home country.
