Also, some of the young people might help with another task which is more social: Helping the organisation of some summer actitivities with a local organisation. The tasks will be shared among the group and each volunteer will have chance to work in both.

Locatie en vrije tijd

Grullos is the capital of the Council of Candamo (Candamo Town Hall) located in the central area of Asturias, lying on both banks of the Nalón river. Without a completely defined urban structure, Grullos mixes a set of buildings that respond to different periods and styles: centuries-old mansions, old hórreos and paneras, Indian houses and modern constructions blend into an environment that still preserves the rural essence. The relief is undulating, alternating peaks with small valleys through which the Nalón and its tributaries flow, highlighting the Dele and the Candamín. Candamo is the oldest town in Asturias. This is evidenced by the famous cave of San Román de Candamo, where the Paleolithic man left beautiful samples of his extraordinary art. In the surroundings, there are several archaeological sites of interest to visitors and scholars.

The local partner is the Concejo de Candamo (Candamo Town Hall)
