Locatie en vrije tijd

The area around Broby has beautiful nature and beaches not far away. There are many opportunities for fun activities around the school and in the nearby area. You can also take public transport to Odense, which has many interesting attractions and a nice atmosphere. The town is also known to be the birthplace of H.C. Andersen, the famous fairy tales author. Your Work Camp leaders will help you and the group with organising activities in your spare time. It is free to enjoy the beautiful nature of Northern Jutland, but some activities might require an extra charge. The host will not cover additional charges.

Brobyskolerne is a public school located in a rural area with 450 pupils and a kindergarten with 50 children. The school is focusing on intercultural meetings.

To participate in this Work Camp, we require you to provide: - A motivational letter The letter must contain a presentation and a picture of you and why you wish to work with the kids. We would also like you to state which age group you wish to work within the letter. We cannot guarantee that your wish will be granted but we will try our best. - Criminal record in English We have no more COVID19 restrictions in Denmark. This basically means that our everyday lives are back to normal, with no masks, assembly bans and test requirements. There are still a few restrictions on entry into the country, but if you are vaccinated or recently infected, then there are currently no isolation or test requirements. Be aware, that airlines might have requirements regarding COVID-19. Though our restrictions are gone, we know that COVID19 is still a problem worldwide. We want to assure you, that you will be safe at the camps, personal boundaries will be respected, tests are still an option for no extra cost and you can wear a mask if you wish. We will of course also inform you of any changes. It is important that the volunteers are interested in being with and communicating with children, teachers and local people. lt is also important that the volunteers are adaptable, open-minded, can work in teams and have creative abilities. English will be the only language spoken. All participants must be willing to speak English, even though being from the same country or have trouble with the English language. Try your best! Unfortunately, the campsite is not accessible for volunteers in wheelchairs.

Sometimes the work will take place outside. Bring clothes and shoes that match the Danish weather. Sometimes, the Danish summer can be rainy.
