The accommodation is a terrain called "La Borda de Llagunes". To get there check:https://www.google.cat/maps/dir//25566+Llagunes,+Lleida/@42.3700503,1.1898,18z/data=!4m16!1m7!3m6!1s0x12a6086afbb91d39:0x629392d446ee2479!2s25566+Llagunes,+Lleida!3b1!8m2!3d42.3696979!4d1.1903593!4m7!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x12a6086afbb91d39:0x629392d446ee2479!2m2!1d1.1903593!2d42.3696979
Is located in the forest. in this map we indicate the way to arrive to the camping: it is 10 minuts walking from the road.

The volunteers will sleep in tents (the organization will try to have tents for 4 people and the volunteers will decide if they want to be together in the same tent or separated by gender). They need to bring their own sleeping bag and mattress.
In the camp will be a hose to take a shower and to clean, everything in the camp is outdoors. However, we give the chance to the volunteers to take an indoor hot shower in a hostel located in Llagunes Village.
The camp is 1600 meters high and it is located in the Catalan Pyrenees. In the evening, night and early morning, it could be cold so we recommend bringing warm clothes. Also as the work camp is located in a high and mountainous location, it is possible to have rain and little storms so we recommend to bring rain clothes.

The volunteers will prepare the food, organize teams for cleaning, for cooking, for keeping the camp. The food will be cooked for the team. The kitchen will be outside and it is made up of floor stoves; if the weather is not good there is a kind of house next to the camp where we could stay and use for cooking or activities

IMPORTANT: there is no electricity in the camp (no phone charge available).

The organization in charge of the work camp is Terra Roia - an association that aims to recover and preserve the Siarb Valley road network, through which it articulates, connects and disseminates the cultural and natural heritage of the valley.
In 2019, the Association País de Terra Roia was born for the management of the Museu de Camins (Path’s Museum). It works closely with the Soriguera City Council, the municipality where the project is being developed, and the Alt Pirineu Natural Park to take the project forward, together with other administrations and entities. Since then, the Terra Roia has been in charge of managing the following areas of the Museum: activities and visits, training, research, oral memory, communication, financing and management and internal organization.

Since 2016, work camps have been developed to recover paths and since 2019 there is a project that frames it: the Museu de Camins. For the past 7 summers, therefore, work camps have been developed in the Siarb Valley to recover paths. This year, after having done this task on the roads (that is, in the corridors of the Museum), the aim is to take a step forward and carry out the field of work in the main room of the Museu de Camins: : The Medieval Village of Santa Creu de Llagunes. The objective of this work camp is to carry out excavations in the Medieval Despoblat after 10 years without carrying out any archaeological intervention.
The depopulated Santa Creu de Llagunes, where there are remains of a medieval fortified enclosure built on top of an early human settlement dating back to around 1,500 BC. It is the largest archaeological site excavated at height in Catalonia; It is declared a BCIL and is part of the Archaeological Charter of the "Generalitat de Catalunya".

The Depopulated Medieval Village of Santa Creu de Llagunes is a very important place for the population of the valley (Vall de Siarb) because it has an interesting cultural and history relevance; during more than 30 years different organizations and companies has been working in the Depopulated Village and restart the archaeological work will be a refresh for the valley and the people.

Het inschrijfgeld voor dit project bedraagt € 345, exclusief € 50 korting voor studenten en jongeren onder de 18.
