Some technical tasks will carry out in the framework of the LIFE Resque AlPyr Project the technical support of the Sorelló staff. Its objective is the restoration of mountain lakes, recovering their natural state. Control tasks will be carried out with technicians from the Sorellona Association.
The tasks are will be:
- Aquatic fauna sampling: fish, amphibians and reptiles. The participants will learn to identify the aquatic fauna, they will describe her physiologic characteristics and they will recognise her value.
- Restore an others mountain habitats.
The tasks performed during the work camp will create a direct impact on the environment. Re-establishing the autochthonous communities typical of these areas.

The group will be installed the first week at Casa Brignué in Ginestarre, in the Parc Natural de l'Alt Pirineu, and the second week volunteers will be at Xalet del St Esperit in the Parc Nacional d'Aigüestores i l'Estany de Sant Maurici in the Vall de Boí. They will sleep in rooms in bunk beds.
Some days the participants will sleep in tents depending on the technical work. The tents are usually for 3 or 4 persons and there is no gender separation.
It's necessary to bring warm clothes.
During the week, the technical work is carried out and at the weekends fun activities and some visits to the villages of the Valley are organized to spread the word about the country's heritage.
The Associació la Sorellona provides the participants a place with beds, toilets, showers and a space to cook.
The menu will be omnivorous and snacks and mid-morning breakfasts are available. For a special diet will be necessary to inform previously (allergies, intolerances, vegetarian, etc.).

The location is in the high mountain so the weather can be cold and variable.
Complementary activities can be classified according to their objectives:
Nature workshops:
- Biodiversity marathon; for 3 hours the participants will have to discover the environment.
- Identification of different plant species and animal tracks.
- Construction of canteens; a feeder so that the participants can take it and hang it in an area near their home, so that they can continue with the hobby of observing nature.
- "Field notebook" workshop: to introduce the naturalist world, a field notebook will be created to record and draw the day's observations.
- Games and dynamics.
- Assemblies: they are a very important space for each young person to express their feelings and concerns without being judged, and it allows the team of educators to identify conflicts and resolve them.
- Discovery of the environment: a short weekend trip will be made to discover the surroundings and the villages of the Valley. Take advantage of the approach path to the technical works to discover the natural sites of the Pyrenees. In the afternoons with free time available, activities will be held to strengthen the group's personal relationships and knowledge of the nearby environment.

Associació La Sorellona is a non-profit organization. Its objective is to promote appreciation and respect for the natural environment, both among our fellow citizens as a whole and especially among the younger population.
In accordance with this, its central area of action is environmental education, education in leisure in nature, environmental volunteering and environmental awareness campaigns, in the field of biodiversity.
The organized activities are led by professionals from various fields of action, such as educators, naturalists or biologists, technicians in environmental volunteering, among others.
One of the lines of action of Sorellona since its inception has been the participation of work camps for the monitoring of biodiversity, in order to give value to the natural heritage of Catalonia and to bring the young participants closer to the most common techniques of the study of biodiversity. In addition to developing an educational task, Sorellona is dedicated to making custody agreements for the management and intervention of ponds. It develops scientific studies and actions for the improvement of continental aquatic ecology. Partner of the NextGeneration GiroNat project, which develops tasks for the renaturation of the blue infrastructure of the city of Girona, among other actions.
In addition to developing an educational task, La Sorellona is dedicated to making custody agreements for the management and intervention of ponds and also participates as a partner member of the LIFE ResqueAlPyr project, which carries out tasks to eliminate invasive species in high mountain lakes.
The 2Alt Pirineu Natural Park" is ceding the use of Casa Bringué, a Park facility, where the participants will have their base during the first week.
The National Park of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici transfers the use of the house of Sant Esperit in the Vall de Boí, an installation within the Park, where the participants will have their base during the second week of the work fields

Het inschrijfgeld voor dit project bedraagt € 345, exclusief € 50 korting voor studenten en jongeren onder de 18.
Jongeren onder 18 jaar moeten voor vertrek verplicht een training volgen. De kosten hiervoor zijn € 50 euro en worden apart in rekening gebracht.
