Hungary’s biggest electronic music festival will take place again this year on the shores of Lake Balaton in Zamárdi, between 28 June and 1 July. Now you get the chance to become a volunteer of Balaton Sound with us!
Festival Volunteer Center are looking for enthusiastic new volunteers who would like to join an awesome team in an effort to help Balaton Sound Festival become a safer place! As a Safety First volunteer, you will be in direct contact with the safety and health services as well as the visitors. You can either help support the team at 0-24 Safety Points or as patrol personnel in the field. Proficiency in English is a must since it will be the main language of communication. There will probably be around 300 volunteers from Hungary who will work with or near you.
You will have your own place at the staff camping but don’t forget to BRING YOUR OWN TENT! There is a shower in the camping area. You will get one hot meal every day you work. Please send your special needs and they will try to make it.
The festival takes place in Zamardi, Hungary right next to Hungary’s biggest lake, the Balaton. Your task is going to take place either in the Safety First point or as a patrol personnel in the field inside the festival. Outside the 6 hours of work per day with your wristband, you can enter the festival as much as you want, or dip in Lake Balaton or just enjoy each other's company.
There will probably be around 200 volunteers from Hungary who will work with or near you.
Festival Volunteer Center organize volunteer programs for the biggest festivals in Hungary. They work with volunteers, with more than 2500+ per year in around 100 possible positions at festivals like Sziget, EFOTT, Balaton Sound, Campus, etc. and also concerts in sport arenas. Over the past 10 years, they have built up a system and shaped it to its present form, which makes it possible for enthusiastic and help-offering volunteers to evolve, for festivals to find motivated workforce, and the joint work ensures countless future opportunities for all parties. They are shaping this process by making use of the diverse, creative, improvisatory ideas from all the participants year by year.
If you become a volunteer of ours you will have to register on our website (where you will get your contract) and take part in a group Google Meet call. Once you arrive to the festival, you have to visit a doctor for a quick and free examination. Also, don’t forget to bring 36 000 HUF or 90 EUR deposit for the weekly ticket you’re going to get. This is a must, without the deposit you can not work with us. At the end of the festival, if you did not break the contract you are going to get your deposit back.
