After the big earthquake in Turkey, Aşık Veysel Domitory started to serve the families and children of earthquake victims. They offered them free accommodation, food, supplies, humanitarian aid, education and pocket money for earthquake victims. During this whole process, our volunteers for 2 terms supported the families and children who affected by earthquake. They made a great contribution to the works by improving the physical conditions of the dormitory. However, many earthquake survivors improved their family conditions and returned to their hometowns. However, there were also those who switched to home accommodation in individual places in Ankara. As a result, Aşık Veysel Yurdu has successfully completed its duty for the earthquake victims. After this period, it will continue to serve successful female students who come to Ankara from the earthquake region to study or who have economic disadvantages even though they are not earthquake victims. As of the end of June, students will begin to settle in the dormitory. We want to continue our duties. Even though our target audience has changed, we still need volunteer support. We have plans such as cooking meals for students, cleaning the dormitory and room, organizing the supplies, organizing the library, organizing the warehouse and creating social activities with the female students who will stay in the dormitory.

Volunteers will stay in Aşık Veysel Girls' Dormitory, where the depressed people live, in rooms for 2-3 people only with volunteers. The rooms have a shower and toilet. There is a dining hall and cafeteria in the dormitory. The dormitory is in a very central location in Ankara. Volunteers will be provided with three meals a day.

Dikmen is one of the central districts of Ankara. From this location, you can easily reach every part of Ankara by using public transportation. There is also a park next to the dormitory. You can spend time here with earthquake-affected children. You can explore Ankara with volunteers and camp leader. You can make friends with the volunteer youth of the Aşık Veysel Cultural Association and participate in other activities of the cultural association. With the contribution of the Children's Art Space Platform, you can organize activities for children and establish social bonds with earthquake victims. A comfortable, friendly and hospitable environment awaits you. Also you can join the activities of our ESC volunteers and have a good time together in the central Ankara.

In order to work in this environment where children and earthquake victims are present, documents such as a motivation letter and criminal record can be requested. We prefer volunteers who can communicate with traumatized adults and children and produce activities for them. We do not charge extra for this camp, but volunteers can donate any amount they wish upon entry to the camp.

Since the dormitory only accepts female students, volunteers must also be female.
