The work will tale place in the continuity and the end of the trail of Madeleine cave. Your work will consist of :- cleaning the trail- creating or improving routesIn way to finish properly the trail leading to Madeleine cave a dry stone wall will be dismantle and rebuilt because it could collapse at any moment. This dry stone wall is at the level of oratory a the entry of the trail.We will also offer a second building site at the locality called descent of the bees wall , if the number of volunteers allows it. Works will consist in :- cleaning the trail- scratch and clean the stairs - rebuild some stepsThis locality is a road leading at hiking trails wich allow to go back to the village and bulwark.
You will be accommodated in the municipal campsite under tent where you will have access to common sanitary facilities and a kitchen. You will participate in the collective preparation of meals and in the tasks of daily life. You will be accommodated not far from the village.
Located in the heart of the Alpes de Hautes Provences department (04) and the Verdon Regional Natural Park, the town of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie has a rich built and natural heritage. You can walk through the streets of this village full of history and typical of Provence. You can also go up to the Chapel of Notre Dame de Beauvoir, classified as a historical monument, which overlooks and offers an exceptional view on the village and the Verdon valley. You will meet the earthenware craftsmen and visit the museum in the village. You can also visit the house of the Regional Natural Park du Verdon which will allow you to learn more about this preserved place. Finally, the inhabitants, voluntary associations and elected officials will come to meet you and will be happy to share their territory and their land with you.A budget and a minibus will be rented to allow to voluntary to discover surrounding villages and to realyze activities in link with their environment (sea sport, climbing...).
After a first work site carried out during the summer of 2021, the municipality of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie wishes to welcome a new team of volunteers in order to carry out the work planned for the redevelopment of the walking trail leading to the Grotte de la Madeleine.Starting in the heart of the village, this trail leads to the Notre-Dame de Beauvoir chapel and to the Grotte de la Madeleine, which was once a place of worship. This ancient chapel now houses an altar and two statues, that of Mary Magdalene and a wolf.This trail is used every year by many visitors and allows to promote the rural heritage of Provence as well as the religious heritage of the village.
In the context of group life, skills such as listening, respect, tolerance and open-mindedness will be required.
