- Training in ecology;- Control of invasive alien species on the banks and in the bed of the Sousa River;- Improvement of the local fauna, flora and landscape;- Construction of a pond for wildlife conservation;- Recovery of an old waterway targeting the retake of its activity;- Creation of shelters for wildlife in forest areas;- Plogging, path cleaning and waste removal;- Construction of structures for environmental education purposes;- Enhancement of local cultural heritage through workshops and visits;- Encouraging international exchange and exchange of experiences;- Experiencing traditional cultural activities in the Sousa Valley region;- Presentation and discussion of the natural and social reality of the participants regions of origin;
Participants will sleep in Sports Complex of Lousada, in shared rooms with minimalist-style beds. There will be separated rooms for boys and for girls. The place has locker rooms with hot water showers also separated by gender. Participants must bring their own towels and hygiene products.The organization will provide breakfasts, lunches, break snacks, and dinners. Lunches and dinners are prepared/cooked by the municipalitys staff and served at a canteen, but some lunches will be served in the field (sandwiches, fruits, etc.). There will always be a vegetarian option.

EcoVilaPouca will be important in the environmental recovery and improvement of Quinta de Vila Pouca, an infrastructure that comprises the network of visitable environmental infrastructures in the Municipality and that will host the headquarters of the Protected Area of Sousa Superior. This WorkCamp will be organized by a team of biologists with experience in environmental conservation and animation.General objectives: - Promotion of sustainability, environmental awareness, and biodiversity protection; - Promotion of intercultural relationships, good environmental practices, and citizenship;- Building structures for environmental education and biodiversity beneficiation; - Promotion of specific skills in the field of environmental management, nature protection and biodiversity.

Jongeren onder 18 jaar moeten voor vertrek verplicht een training volgen. De kosten hiervoor zijn € 50 euro en worden apart in rekening gebracht.
