Work will be technical, physical and will require organizational skills. Fist week aims mainly to build the temporary shops (wooden structure), tents and barnums, then clean everything after the 9 days fair. During the event, you will guide the visitors, work on the information panels, the circulation plan and support with the logistics (cooking cleaning, etc.), hold the bar and the food shop, etc.
Be careful: work can be very physical on the first and last week of the projects (long hours, heavy loads, etc.)
You will stay in a collective dorm in a municipal building next to the place of the workcamp. Food is provided and you will prepare the meals in team with the other volunteers in an indoor kitchen. Lunch will be taken with the local volunteers of the festival. Don’t forget to bring your favourite recipes!

Leisure time is organised collectively. During the second weekend you will work and enjoy the activities of the fair, so you can discover the area mainly on the last week. The main leisure will be right next to you, as you can participate for free on the concerts, workshops and multiple shows and parties organized during the festival.
Come and help to transform a full village in a medieval fair ! Every year, for 24 years, this festival attracts more than 30.000 visitors. Souvigny is hosting international workcamps to support the organisation of the event and share medieval traditions. For 9 days, artists and bands perform in outdoor stages: theatre, music, juggling, fire show, old jobs demo, etc. During this event, you will cooperate with the team of local volunteers to build the installations, take turn in cooking, holding a stand and everything necessary for the fair to happen smoothly.

Jongeren onder 18 jaar moeten voor vertrek verplicht een training volgen. De kosten hiervoor zijn € 50 euro en worden apart in rekening gebracht.
