You will be replacing the existing roof (larch wood boards, wood wool insulation, steel decking and snow-stoppers). The surface area is 70m². You will work 4 days a week, from 8.30 am to midday and from 2 pm to 5 pm. You will be supervised by a technical coordinator. This operation started two years ago and is the third and final session of this renovation project.
Your accommodation will be in rooms of 4 to 6 people with bathroom facilities. Food is included in the workcamp budget and meals are prepared in turn by the team of volunteers with the help of the daily life coordinator. It is possible to request vegetarian meals. You will help to tidy up the dining room and the kitchen.
Tende is 2 hours from Nice (by train). The site is isolated in the mountains (altitude of 1,500m), 10km from the village of Tende and 50km from Ventimiglia (Italy).
Leisure activities: In addition to weekends, one day in the middle of each week will be devoted to visits and activities. You will discover the mountain environment (fauna, flora, hiking around the archaeological site of the Vallée des Merveilles in the Mercantour National Park) and the historic and cultural heritage of the region (visit of the medieval villages in the Roya valley). You will also be able to enjoy sports activities (treetop adventure course, via ferrata).
Neige et Merveilles is a protected site with a wealth of natural, archaeological, mining, and cultural treasures. This site, which has survived an extensive period of mining, has been home to the Neige et Merveilles association for the past sixty years. Today, it is a place where families, groups, hikers can meet up and enjoy this site located in the Mercantour National Park at an altitude of 1,500m.
You will participate in the complete renovation of the roof of a building and the improvement of the facility’s energy performance (roof insulation, double glazed windows). This workcamp, open to all, is a multi-purpose hall reserved for conferences, evening festivities and activities. There is also a large library there. It is the third and final year of work dedicated to this renovation.

Jongeren onder 18 jaar moeten voor vertrek verplicht een training volgen. De kosten hiervoor zijn € 50 euro en worden apart in rekening gebracht.
