This workcamp will allow you to carry out several activities: opening up the environment (cutting down trees), delimiting the protected area from the area frequented by kitesurfers for example (placing wooden barriers), removing invasive species to allow endemic species (flora or fauna) to be able to reproduce. The aim of the work camp is to preserve the surroundings of the pond, whether by managing the number of visitors or by managing the vegetation. You will work 25 hours per week.
You will be accommodated in a lodge provided by the town hall, a few minutes from the Mediterranean Sea. This place includes dormitories, sanitary facilities and a kitchen. Meals will be provided and prepared in turn by the participants.
Le Barcarès is located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Salses Leucate lake, near Perpignan and the Pyrenees.
This international workcamp is organised in partnership with the Syndicat Mixte Rivage and the commune of Le Barcarès, on the edge of the Etang de Salses Leucate, in a protected wetland area renowned for its varied biodiversity. This year's workcamp will aim, in addition to removing invasive species (witches' claw, yucca, prickly pear, agave, etc.), to participate in setting up measures for the protection and enhancement of the existing biodiversity on the site (e.g. development of a path). As the work is linked to the weather conditions, the tasks are generally defined at the beginning of the workcamp.

Jongeren onder 18 jaar moeten voor vertrek verplicht een training volgen. De kosten hiervoor zijn € 50 euro en worden apart in rekening gebracht.
