Recreational activities, recycling workshops, recycled paper, separation of waste, compost, language workshops, painting, cultural, music with the community of children between 8 and 15 years and women.
The lodging will be in the community center, in cots or hammocks, has internet service, electricity, water, common bathrooms. Each volunteer must take care of the cleanliness of their area and maintain order in the common areas cleanliness. They will help to take care of the community garden.The food will be prepared by the volunteers, 3 times a day. If the volunteers have a special diet they must notify us before their arrival.
It is located 12 hours from Mexico City by bus and 1.30 hours on Aeromar flights from CDMX to Cd Ixtepec, located 20 minutes from Ixtaltepec.Leisure:-Waterhole Ollaga -Waterhole Tlacotepec -Tour of murals in Ixtaltepec, coexistence with artisans and traditional trades that keep alive.-Bakery class, cooking, pottery, tamales, hammocks and traditional weaving (depending on the interest of the volunteer)-Tianguis and local markets.
A Hand for Oaxaca exists by necessity to have a public space for the recovery of traditional trades, cultural workshops and healing for the reduction of post-traumatic stress of children, children and women of Ixtaltepec and different communities.There are permanent workshops in the community center, the objective is to have the support of volunteers to make specific workshops, cultural, language classes, painting, among other various activities that promote and encourage activities to reduce post-traumatic stress of girls, boys, and women.
A willingness to work in a team, dedication, ease of speech, kindness, responsibility, and willingness to work with children and adolescents. Ability to develop didactic material and educational activities. Have their own life insurance. Bring clothes according to the activities.
