Locatie en vrije tijd

The city of Aguascalientes in the center of the Mexican Republic, it is one of the most important cities in the Bajio region. Its name comes from the hot springs in the area, which attracted the first settlers, more than twenty thousand years ago. With a long industrial and commercial trajectory, it has experienced unstoppable growth in recent times, until it became one of the largest and most populated urban centers in the entire center of the country. The metropolitan area of Aguascalientes adjoins several populations that until recently were neighbors. In addition to its tourist attractions, it has a high level of sustainability and quality of life. The tourist places of Aguascalientes reflect their cultural identity as a producer of guava (a mexican fruit) and railway tradition. This is a state of northern Mexico founded in 1575 as a refuge for those who traveled the “Ruta de la Plata” (Silver Route in English). Its name, that in English mean hot waters, is due to the important presence of hot springs. Other main attractions apart from walking the historic streets of the city and knowing the gastronomy and culture, are the natural reserves like “Sierra Fria” a great diversity of museums for example “Museo Jose Guadalupe Posada” and many other activities.
