ACTIVITIES: Elaboration of flour tortillas, unique in the country and the world. Elaboration of coyotas (tipo empanadas) with a family from the town. Visit and get to know in broad strokes how a ranch or milpa is worked, from how the animals are marked, to the way of planting, etc. Visit to the squares of the most important towns of the Sonora River. Learn to make cheese and/or machaca, part of the traditional food of the region. And many more activities that will allow you to get to know the culture of the region.
ACCOMMODATION: Volunteers will be accommodated in a house with all basic services. Volunteers need to bring a sleeping bag
The name of the municipality derives from the Opata language word "Banamitzi", which means "Where the water turns around" or "Raised by the water". The town has approximately 160 inhabitants, and the municipal seat is 3 kilometers away.
PROJECT: During our camp we will be influencing two primary activities within the community, in the educational area, doing playful activities and artistic with underprivileged children from the community and supporting the school garden.

Jongeren onder 18 jaar moeten voor vertrek verplicht een training volgen. De kosten hiervoor zijn € 50 euro en worden apart in rekening gebracht.
Let op: naast het inschrijfgeld betaal je ter plekke nog een lokale bijdrage van $ 4.500. (Ca. € 227)
