Huaquechula is a small town of 4000 inhabitants, where one of its main attractions are the altars of the Day of the Dead season and the beautiful landscapes that surround it. One of the main economic activities of this municipality is agriculture, in this town beans, corn, peanuts and sorghum are grown mainly.
The main typical dishes of this region are mole, green pipián with zompantle flowers, molotes, black marinade and ash tamales with ayocote beans. We recommend trying the rosquetes, puff pastries, marquesos and polvorones.
The activities will be coordinated by AMVIAC and the town hall of Huaquechula. There will be various workshops: chocolate, polychrome clay, chipped wax, ceremonial carpet, visit to the Aqueduct of Matlala, the Gobin wasteland, Jagüey, traditional altar.

DISCOVER PALESTINE HOUSE WITH US.
The Palestine House is a unique property in Huaquechula. Built in the 18th century, it stands out for its composite arches and interior moldings, it is located right next to the famous ex-convent of San Martín de Tours. This will be our framework for the conservation, rescue and enhancement project, in which we collaborate with the INAH Puebla Center, the Town Hall of H. Huaquechula and the State Ministry of Culture.
Our mission is to revitalize this historic building to return it to the cultural activities of this population, with the possibility that very soon it will house the site museum. With this, we contribute not only to the rescue of cultural heritage, but also to the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants of Huaquechula. Added to this is the exchange of good practices that will take place through the French Embassy in Mexico, and international organizations.
