To be a volunteer camp co-leader is:
• To be responsible for the supervision and realisation of a volunteer wok project in collaboration with another leader ;
• To assist a group of a dozen young volunteers coming from different countries and help them complete their project ;
• To establish a good relationship between the volunteers, the local host and the local community.
The ideal arrival is August 7th, in order to attend the training and to be there for the preparation days taking place that week.
The volunteer will be co-leader on Saint-Prosper volunteer camp until 26 August.
Volunteers will be sleeping in a community room. They will cook their own meals and will have access to internet.
Located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, Saint-Prosper—the land of the “Défricheurs” (first settlers)—is a community of about 3,600 citizens. The nearby Lac-Etchemin and Caribou Lake walking trails are a must for nature lovers.

Since 2015, the town owns Village des Défricheurs, now called Village Beauceron. City council members have a strong desire to revitalize this heritage site closed since 2015. They want to revamp it into a tourist attraction with additional services all year-long, such as a skating trail, thematic family activities, a summer public market, educational activities, etc.
To be aged of 18 years old and older
To have previous volunteer experience, preferably an experience in a leadership position
To be bilingual (French, English)
